Even though I lost an hour of sleep on my birthday, it was still a relaxing and fun-filled day. Hiking, enjoying the sunshine, a free Starbucks drink, time with family, and a great dinner.
Am I totally ready for this week (especially being the week before spring break)? No. Being gone with the high school girls soccer team until 6:30 p.m. yesterday cut into my productive work time a bit. It felt totally worth it, though, until this morning when I started to stress over my to-do list.
However, a friend of mine gave me some wise advice after wishing me happy birthday: “Just do what needs to be done for tomorrow and then worry about the rest later. Enjoy your day.” With that piece of advice, I enjoyed the rest of my birthday; hopefully tomorrow will go smoothly!
I am participating in the Slice of Life challenge to write and publish a post each day in March. Thanks to Two Writing Teachers for creating a place for writers to share their work all month long and hosting the March Slice of Life Story Challenge!
