It seemed so dark this morning when my alarm clock rang. Getting up and getting moving was tough. But as I started my morning run, the cobwebs in my mind began to clear, my spirits lifted, and the cool morning air woke me up.
Even as I sipped my coffee on the drive to school, I still wasn’t quite ready for the day. But all of a sudden, I turned left at the intersection and saw the tinges of pink and orange touch the tops of the Grand Mesa. Once I pulled up at my school, the sky was ablaze in a sea of colors, the clouds adding texture to the canvas of the sunrise.
Sunrise gives me hope for a new day. Sunrise opens my eyes to the possibilities of the morning. Sunrise makes all things new.
I am participating in the Slice of Life challenge to write and publish a post each day in March. Thanks to Two Writing Teachers for creating a place for writers to share their work all month long and hosting the March Slice of Life Story Challenge!
I was also amazed by the sunrise this morning! I snapped a photo while sitting at a red light on the way to school. It really was glorious.
