I read several haikus as I perused today’s slices, and I thought I’d return to this familiar form with thoughts of the spring sunshine and the flowers that have just started blooming.

sun gently nudges the cold
spring shyly awakes

There’s a lot of Spring Haiku around here! (That’s what I wrote yesterday, and I’ve read more today, too) This one is lovely, like the warm day we had today!

Today haiku? Tomorrow tanka? I like the tentativeness of spring’s arrival that you capture.
